The International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) will be held Saturday, May 16–Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
GLM, producer and manager of the ICFF, and Bernhardt Design announces a call for entries – deadline December 15, 2008.
ICFF Studio invites submissions of product prototypes from designers working on any and all the product categories exhibited at the ICFF: furniture, seating, carpet and flooring, lighting, outdoor furniture, materials, wall coverings, accessories, textiles, and kitchen and bath. There is no fee to submit an entry.
Selected designers win a spot to display their prototypes on the ICFF exhibition floor at ICFF Studio, a group area with individual booths designed by TRUCK Product Architecture. Each booth measures approximately 6 feet deep by 17 feet wide (1.83 meters deep by 5.18 meters wide). Storage, a sign, and a 1,000 watt par can lighting fixture are included.
Participants are required to be available at their booth at all times during the ICFF. Arrangements and expenses for shipping, travel, and hotel are the responsibility of each winner.
Winners will be assisted in making connections with potential manufacturers, retailers, and the press. Past year’s participants secured contracts with manufacturers; received a lot of media coverage; and, in some instances, started their own companies.
Winners will be announced January 12, 2009.
For consideration, submit: a completed Entry Form; photo prints of up to three product prototypes for possible exhibition at the ICFF; and, supporting information including a biography.
