CAMIRA SAYS
Main Line Flax builds on our industry leading bast fiber expertise to create a new inherently flame retardant fabric from sustainable sources. A symbol of purity, wild flax has been used in textiles for thousands of years thanks to its strong, long and smooth fibers found inside the stem of the plant. The fiber is spun into a 70-30 wool flax blend, then fiber dyed to create beautiful mixture yarns which are woven into interesting solids and cross-colors inspired by the rich tones of rare jewels.
MODERN FABRICS SAYS:
This fabric is Camira's version of Maharam Hallingdal. Beautiful natural looking wool. This is a tight wooly weave with two colors of yarns in the weave in a lovely shade black and dark gray. The tightness of the weave prevents it from being scratchy. Absoultely perfect for upholstery or pillows. I LOVE THIS!

In my own words, I really love Camira fabrics. We pretty much exclusively carry Camira wools which are equal in quality to anything Maharam makes in my opinion. From what I understand Camira is a weaver, therefore they are able to keep their prices lower then other wool fabric distributors.
