Damask upholstery fabric is an incredibly classic design associated with beautiful historic homes and traditional design styles. Damask material for upholstery is generally woven and made of silk, wool, linen, cotton, or synthetic fibers. The unique repetitive pattern that makes a damask is reminiscent of a Warshak test with the same pattern repeated along the length of the fabric. The damask design can be woven into the fabric or printed on cotton or linen, the repetitive design also lends itself well to hand-printed fabric designs. Upholstery damask is generally not reversible.
