Plaid Upholstery Fabric
Plaids, tartans, ginghams, checks, and houndstooth fall under the same category in our listings. Plaids and checks are very popular patterns and they always make for a strong statement. Make a small accent pillow or upholster a side chair in plaid or check for an instant POP in any room.
Plaid fabric is a pattern formed from criss-crossing lines of varying widths in one, two or three colors.
Tartan textile pattern is traditionally made of wool. Tartan patterns are formed with lines of varying widths and usually feature three or more colors on a base color.
Gingham pattern is created by printing or weaving wide, even and uniform lines onto white cotton, when the line crosses they create a darker color thereby giving the fabric a checker pattern.
Houndstooth pattern looks like a check but often falls under its own category, but upon closer inspection houndstooth patterns are formed from checks with notched corners.
Checker pattern consists of squares in two different colors positioned in alternating positions and always creates a very graphic feel.
