You will need only 8 yards to reupholster any traditional club chair and 12 yards for a club chair with an ottoman.
A mid-century modern sofa usually starts with 10 yards of fabric. A traditional loveseat or a 2 seat couch only needs 14 yards. A fainting couch or a daybed can be recovered within 12 yards. Two traditional club chairs can be done with 15 yards, and 2 barrel chairs can be reupholstered with 10 yards.
If you are working on drapes you typically need 3 yards per drapery panel, so 12 yards will give you 4 panels, or 2 window coverings. Roman shades require a lot less yardage so 15 yards will cover a lot of windows.
