Classic S&L. Pure white linen printed with classic small buffalo check pattern. This linen is on the lighter side, perfect for pillows, bedding, drapes, and slipcovers. (Why is it called buffalo?).... Buffalo check gets its name from an old American legend. The pattern was popularized in 1850 by Woolrich Woolen Mills in Pennsylvania. According to the company's folklore, the textile designer who created the bold, red-and-black checkered fabric owned a herd of buffalo and named the pattern after his livestock
